I have been very hesitant to put my own tiny human’s pictures up. I am not sure why exactly. I am always taking pictures. Maybe it is because I am biased and can’t see through the flaws. What I put up may be the best picture in the world…to me. But to the viewers like you, you may think silently to yourself “what in God’s name was she thinking by posting that”?? Bah, enough of that…here is his 6 month pictures taken yesterday…
I have to say, newborn photography is such a special thing for the parent and for me. The mama to this wonderful little boy, holds a meaningful spot in my heart. Doing this shoot, I was reminded of how my own was this tiny just 5 short months ago. I do hope Luke’s parents love these images as much as I do.
It is getting to be that time of year again…Christmas photography. This can be a fabulous Christmas present to relatives or for yourself. Holiday photography also is great for personalizing those Christmas or Hanukkah cards.
I met the Dunn family at a great park in the East Bay-Joaquin Miller in Oakland. It was a rough start, admittedly, but turned out lovely. I hope they treasure these for years to come. It was a pleasure shooting them.
It was the perfect time of day at Point Isabel in Richmond, CA. Ashley and Jason were most gracious (and gorgeous I might add!!) when doing their engagement shoot with their little dog, Bell. This was a fun shoot to do and the dog park is one of my favorite places. I hope you enjoy.

On a warm Saturday morning in September, I stumbled out of bed and headed to San Ramon. As soon as I got there, I woke straight up as I met Tabitha and little Sarsulynne; two aspiring models. They were great to work with. I must admit, it was challenging at times, but so worth it. They are gorgeous. Anyhow, I hope these add to their portfolios!!!
Well I have finally emerged from my cave…I am now a mom! Wow…who would have thought that? Of course I am busy taking a gazillion photos of him…however; I did manage to do a senior portrait shoot of my friend Jamie. She came with her mom Kim to help with the new baby. Anyhow, here are a few of my favorite shots. We went to old town Sacramento as well as a nearby park.

I wrote this in the previous blog post, but I think it is not getting read…dag nabbit! 🙂 I thought I would give it it’s own little blog entry here. After trying and trying, I have finally succeeded in becoming pregnant. Whoo hoo!!! My due date is August which means, unfortunately, I will have to sit this whole summer out and not take on any large photography assignments. I kinda feel like I am a kid on restriction and have to watch all my friends having fun from the living room window. However, in this case I will be richly rewarded…and I cannot wait!
Anyhow, I will need to put my camera on the shelf until mid to late September or so. Still cannot believe I am going to miss a whole wedding season! I will have to pacify myself by taking pictures of my crazy dogs and their antics until I resume with the real world.
Also, I have moved to the Sacramento area for awhile. Once I get my photography legs back, I will still service all sorts of weddings all over the Bay Area, Napa, Sacramento, and Central Valley, so don’t hesitate to contact me about your upcoming day!!
Hello everyone! I just want to say I know I have been an absentee blogger as of late, but I really do have a good reason! Turns out I have received what I have asked for…a baby! So that means that this busy summer wedding time I will have to sit out 🙁
However for all those fall and winter weddings I will be ready for! I have also relocated to the Sacramento area. Not to fret, I am still available all over the Bay area.
So what is up with the title: CNN Health? Well, I am not sure it is the best photo they could have used, but they did use one of my photos in the recent article here: Living with Allergies. Pretty exciting stuff!
December 23rd was, I think, the stormiest of all the days in December. Tiffany had scheduled this shoot weeks prior. Neither of us knew the horrendous weather he were going to have. To cancel the shoot was not an option since this was a Christmas present for her parents. I called around to different hotels, such as the Fairmont, to see if we could shoot inside in case the weather didn’t clear by 3pm. At 230pm it was great out, but by 3pm, the rains came again. We made the best of it there at the Palace of Fine Arts. Such gorgeous grounds, but he were confined to shoot under the dome. No matter, we all had a great time and we got some really great shots. Here are a few…
…so we did just that…and then some! I wasn’t sure the shoot was going to happen actually. When I got up to the horse ranch in Martinez, it was not only pouring rain, but hailing too! Oh my! We waited and waited. Pet the horses. Chased some chickens. Then lo and behold…a break in the weather. We jumped and shot as much as we could. The mud was really bad…cold and gross. Melissa was a trooper though. Below are a few that we shot. I hope you like them.
